Business center with swimming pool
The design solution for the business center in St. Petersburg is developed for a fairly large site with minimal terrain variations. The plan involves constructing a standalone three-story building designed as a simple, unified volume with a monolithic frame. The building will be exclusively used by the owning company, with no leased spaces.
The structure is a wide rectangle with an atrium at the center housing vertical circulation elements such as stairs and elevators. The facade is fully glazed and features decorative balconies and canopies. The glazing system uses a standard mullion-rail design with a small percentage of operable windows.
Overall, the building appears transparent and maximally open. To provide natural light to the central part of the building, there is an atrium covered with translucent structures. This design allows for the use of panoramic elevators.
The layout plan allocates public areas on the first floor for informal gatherings, including a reception area, café, technical rooms, and a large swimming pool. Adjacent to the building’s exterior is a decorative water feature, creating the illusion of a large water space on both sides of the glass wall. The external pool is illuminated at night, and during winter, it is heated.
The second and third floors are designated for office spaces organized as open spaces, with each floor having an area of approximately 1000 square meters.
