Pavilion 2071
The capricious Moscow summer does not favour outdoor picnics, so the clients who did not have a veranda in their house decided to get a gazebo with a summer kitchen and not depend on the weather.
The pergola is divided into two parts on different levels, which emphasise the relief difference on the plot. In the upper part, located closer to the house, is the “eating area”: a large kitchen with a spacious worktop, equipped with a sink and barbecue, and a dining area, where a light table for 12 people. In the lower part there is a recreation area with mobile upholstered furniture (bag chairs and poufs).
Despite the apparent lightness, the construction is capital, designed for long-term operation. The foundation is piled, with a reinforced concrete slab poured, on which a metal frame and a prefabricated roof are built. The most difficult part of the project was the work with decorative metal – all the complex nodes of adjoining glass with additional lighting around the perimeter are unique and were developed for the first time. The walls of the pergola are made of frosted glass; complex geometric elements are made of sheet metal painted with a special compound.
