Private house Ni.Gor
Located deep within a corner plot, this house is situated in an old-fashioned suburban village near Moscow. The main task and idea of the project was to present modern country house architecture through the lens of local traditions—typical elements of these countryside places such as sloped roofs, wooden facade finishes, and clinker brick are combined with rigid and dynamic facade geometry and expansive glass windows.
The relief variation is echoed in the interior, characterized by architects as a “flowing space” concept. This description describes the relationship of the relief with the volumes, facades, and interiors of the building—wooden floor finishes partially transition onto walls and ceilings, intersecting the white perimeter monolith parallel to the facade planes. Enhanced with glass and mirrored surfaces, it forms a complex, developed space complemented by custom-made objects: a polygonal dining table with a glass base, prism-shaped lamps, carpentry items made of oak and teak in the master bedroom and bathroom. Italian furniture from B&B Italia, Maxalto, and Poltrona Frau factories is predominantly used in the interior design.
