«Yandex» office in St. Petersburg – 2
In designing this office, the architects faced two complex challenges. Firstly, they needed to efficiently organize an extremely elongated space along the axis of a central corridor. Secondly, they aimed to make the office visually striking and expressive. After lengthy deliberation, the architects decided to use a corridor-office layout, placing meeting “cells,” work zones, and unusual objects along the corridor while assigning specific functionality to each.
As a result of implementing this concept, visitors find themselves immersed in Yandex services: navigating the corridors, they encounter familiar login and password fields for email, and at every turn, they encounter symbols and recognizable icons of Yandex services, although they may not always be easy to recognize—miniature pixel icons have been transformed into multi-meter volumetric objects.
